Valerie Salcido is from San Antonio, Texas. She went to the University of Texas at San Antonio where she majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Legal Studies and Political Science. She is currently in pursuit of a Bankruptcy Clerkship upon graduation since the courses she excels in are Commercial, Consumer, Property, Tax and Bankruptcy Law. She wears multiple hats meaning she also serves as the HYLA Student Director for Thurgood Marshall School of Law (“TMSL”) in order to bring opportunity to my school. She helped develop a Collaborative Experiential Learning (“CEL”) Program as CEL Director. Lastly, she coordinated with the Offices of External Affairs, Career & Professional Development, and Academic Support to effectively develop, coordinate, and execute a simulated negotiation and networking reception for over 120 participating students and approximately 30 practicing attorneys.
